Boerewors Scotch Eggs

Do you love Scotch Eggs. Try this version with our South African Sausage.
Geier’s South African Boerewors Scotch Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs    Boerewors (South African Sausage – taken out of the casing)

  •         6    Hard Boiled Eggs (Remove Shell)
  •  ½ cup    Panko Breadcrumbs
  •  ¼ cup    Onion
  •  ¼ cup    Green Pepper
  •         1    Egg
  •  ¼ tsp    Cumin

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F
Finely chop the onions and green pepper.
In a mixing bowl combine the South African Sausage, onion, green pepper, cumin, and the raw egg.
Divide the mixture into 6 sausage patties.
Place the hard-boiled egg in center of the sausage patty and wrap the meat around the egg.
Roll in Panko bread crumbs.
Bake the Boerewors Scotch Eggs for approx. 25 min.
